Program Information
The Restore Louisiana Project includes the demolition, restoration, and renovation of 36,000 multifamily homes located through 51 declared parishes. The homes were damaged by the May 2016 storm and the 1,000 year storm of August 2016 and are part of the Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program for permanent repair. Construction consists of installing plumbing and electrical systems, vinyl sheeting over plywood, and roofing. The project also features water heaters, metal exterior railing and stairs, hollow core interior doors, and new insulation.
